Awards and achievements

Alumni Award for Early Career Excellence 

Awarded to one recent graduate (within the first 10 years of his or her career after completing one of our degree programs) for demonstrating notable early-career accomplishments that indicate future success for contributions to the fields of criminology and criminal justice through research, practice, or policy.

Dr. Marie Griffin Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award 

Named in honor of the late CCJ Professor Marie Griffin (who was a distinguished alumna of ASU), this award is presented to one alumnus or alumna each year for having made significant contributions to the advancement of criminology and criminal justice through distinguished leadership achievements (at the local, state, national, or international levels) as a practitioner in one of the justice professions. The contributions do not necessarily need to be publicly renowned, but should represent important accomplishments of societal value.

Dr. John R. Hepburn Alumni Scholar Award

Awarded to one individual for outstanding scholarly contributions to the discipline of criminology and criminal justice by a person who has received the M.A., M.S., or Ph.D. from the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at ASU.
