I was promoted to Deputy Chief in February of 2024. In my current role as Deputy Chief, I preside over the largest division in the department with over 700 sworn and civilian personnel. This includes all our first responders for 911 calls, specialized crime fighting units, Tactical Crime Analysis Unit and our civilian CARE unit. I am responsible for developing effective crime reduction strategies and initiatives to further efficiency within the division. In 2024, I was tasked with spearheading a partnership with the newly built Center for Diversion and Services. This initiative includes a working group from county and city officials to offer services and alternatives to arrest for the unsheltered population involved in low level city ordinance and misdemeanor violations. To date, the Atlanta Police Department is responsible for over 800 diversions since the center opened on January 20, 2025. I am a career law enforcement professional with a commitment to public service and have served in that capacity over the past twenty-four years. I believe education is the path for growth, knowledge and developing expertise in your field. I hold a Bachelors Degree from Kent State University, a Master's Degree from Columbus State University and am currently pursuing a Doctorate of Criminal Justice here at Arizona State University.
