
ASU Future Leaders Fellowship Program
The Future Leader Fellows program offers participants the opportunity to collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and community leaders in the criminal justice field, aiming to cultivate essential leadership skills in the following areas:

Future Leaders Fellowship Application Details
Fellowship applicant eligibility
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree in criminology, criminal justice, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution or be on track to earn one by June 2025.
- Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 in the last 60 hours of their first bachelor's degree program or a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 in an applicable master's degree program.
- Applicants must be available to begin the fellowship in person in early August 2025.
- Applicants must be able to complete their degree requirements and in-person coursework within two years.
- Applicants must have Arizona residency status
Applicants must complete the following requirements:
- Complete and submit ASU’s Criminology and Criminal Justice MS Graduate admission application.
- Submit official transcripts in the application portal.
- Provide two letters of recommendation.
- Submit a written statement of at least one page that describes your educational and career goals and long-term professional development strategy.
- Pay the $70 application fee (waivers available upon approval).
Fellowship application submission
Upon your acceptance into ASU’s Criminology and Criminal Justice MS Graduate program, you will be required to submit the fellowship application to be considered. Candidates will be asked to identify their areas of interest and provide written statements identifying professional goals. This information will be used to connect admitted applicants with their mentors, community partners, field leaders, and research interests.
