Internship Snapshot:
As part of this internship, students will:
1. Relationship Building with Press Contacts- Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and other media professionals to secure media coverage and opportunities. Respond to media inquiries and facilitate interviews or press appearances as needed.
2. Press Release Development- Draft compelling press releases to announce important news, events, and initiatives to the media. Distribute press releases to relevant media outlets and maintain relationships with press contacts.
3. Newsletter Creation- Design and produce quarterly newsletters to keep stakeholders informed about organizational updates, achievements, and upcoming events. Collaborate with team members to gather content, write articles, and curate relevant information for newsletters.
4. Marketing Collateral Creation- Create marketing collateral such as flyers, brochures, posters, and digital banners to support promotional efforts and events. Ensure that marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines and effectively communicate key messages.
5. Social Media Strategy and Content Creation- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase engagement, followers, and brand awareness. Create engaging and visually appealing content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Utilize Canva to design eye-catching graphics, infographics, and other visual content for social media posts.
Amplify Voices has worked directly with victims of sex/human trafficking, as well as the previously incarcerated. This internship will allow students to build connections with individuals who have had first hand experience with crime and the criminal justice system. Through this internship, I expect to grow in ways of sensitivity; being able to speak to and show support for people with these difficult life experiences. Amplify Voices next mission is Mental Wellness, and they will have people share their stories ranging from all different aspects of mental health. Mental health has proven to be a trigger for many crimes and behaviors we study in Criminology. This internship will give students real world experience of what a future in criminal justice can look like- working with victims, giving platforms and resources to those who need them, and working to get coverage for individuals in the media/press.

Internship Snapshot:
As part of this internship, the student will:
- Investigate footage, phone calls, insurances of claimant.
-Gather statements of the claimant and gathering the best result for said claimant.
- Commit time to legal research and assessing multiple types of situations. -
- Interview with witnesses and the claimants will be undergoing in order to gather evidence.
- Investigate staged accidents that might have occurred that could lead to someone committing insurance fraud.
There are constant legal and ethical considerations during this role as well as dealing with those with potential fraud within claims. This internship will allow the intern to understand the legal system first hand in different perspectives through the world of insurance.
This is a paid, on-site internship.

Inside Out Network: Connecting Returning Citizens With Service Providers

Description of Agency:
We are helping transform reentry by connecting returning citizens and service providers through our revolutionary online platform. Think of us as the “eharmony of reentry”. Though we are based in Tucson, students will work remotely, and $300 stipends are available for ASU Criminal Justice student interns.

Internship Snapshot:
- Identify reentry service providers, churches and ministries, and volunteers/advocates in Arizona and Illinois. Educate potential subscribers about the ION platform, demo the website, and encourage subscriptions.
- Actively pursue leads for potential subscribers by phone, email, and Zoom meetings. Assist new subscribers to enroll in ION.
- Help create online profiles for inmates by entering data from paper registration forms into the ION platform.
- Interact and collaborate with a wide range of reentry service providers, various staff at the Arizona and Illinois departments of correction, regional reentry coalitions, ION volunteers, and other stakeholders.

- Work virtually with Justice-involved youth to empower them to strengthen their protective factors.
- Engage in extensive training on adolescent development, ACE's and Trauma-informed care.
- Learn how to give youth strength-based feedback.
- Gain experience related to accounting success by contributing to monthly and weekly reports.
- Students will focus on time management and practice collaborative skills with other interns and supervisors in the program.

Team Kinds is a non profit organization that delivers the Team Kids Challenge, an empirically validated five-week, in school program that empowers and mobilizes elementary school-aged children as compassionate leaders, serving alongside public safety mentors such as on duty police officers to create lasting community change.
Snapshot of Internship:
Students can expect to:
- Shadow and support Team Kids Coaches with weekly program delivery including kick-off assemblies, youth-led leadership team meetings, and carnivals.
- Assist with taking photos and capturing the program in progress.
- Assist where needed with event planning including creating and distributing program fliers, video presentations, and youth interactive activities.
- Assist in the preparations and set up of carnivals including sorting tickets, organizing game tables and prizes, and distribution of t-shirts and craft supplies.
- Assist with follow up surveys and reflection sheets, and debrief meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

Snapshot of Internship:
As part of this internship, students will
-provide confidential, ongoing support and advocacy to victims of crime in Tempe. Advocates respond to questions the victim may have, anticipate the victim’s needs, and provide support through the criminal justice system. Train in a mobile unit that responds to crime calls allowing us to begin advocacy services immediately following the incident.

- provide opportunity for direct client contact, research and group support work.
CARE 7 prides itself on our ""Continuum of Care."" This means that we encounter clients at the point of crisis in their lives and we continue our support, assistance, and referral throughout healing, and recovery.
When dispatched by Tempe Police and/or Tempe Fire Medical Rescue, CARE 7 will respond to incidents including domestic violence, auto accidents, sexual and physical assaults, suicides, homicides, residential fires, drownings and other unexpected deaths. CARE 7 will provide on-scene assistance, support and follow-up resources to meet a variety of needs. CARE 7 can assist with filing for victim's financial compensation, orders of protection, and counseling referrals.
