Prosecutorial Discretion event with Maricopa County Attorney, Bill Montgomery

The ASU School of Criminology and Criminal Justice is hosting a Prosecutorial Discretion event on Thursday, Feb. 6th. The event is being held in conjuction with defense attorney Andrew Clemency's CRJ470 Discretionary Justice class, and will feature Maricopa County Attorney, Bill Montgomery. 

Bill Montgomery is an experienced prosecutor, graduating Magna Cum Laude with his law degree from Arizona State University, being elected to the position of County Attorney in 2010, and currently leading the state's largest team of prosecutors of the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.

Students will be given a look inside the decision making process of being a prosecutor, learn about the guiding factors when charging a suspect, how factors are weighed, and what goes into reaching plea bargains.
