Stacia Stolzenberg Roosevelt is an assistant professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. She conducts innovative research in the field of child maltreatment. To do so, she examines current investigative and prosecution practices in our criminal justice system and explores potential strategies for improving current practices by evaluating children’s performance in laboratory settings. The findings of Stolzenberg’s work contribute to evidence-based best practices for interviewing victims and improving child maltreatment investigative processes, thus promoting and protecting children and their families by better discerning true from false allegations of abuse.
