Ryan Cotter

Dr. Ryan Cotter is the Director of Research for the Maricopa County Criminal Justice System.  His educational background includes B.A. degrees in criminology and psychology (University of Windsor); MA in criminology (University of Windsor) and Ph.D. in criminology (Keele University).  Dr. Cotter’s principal areas of expertise include: police and security intelligence, organized crime, courts and jail.  Dr. Cotter previously taught in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland College Park and joined the ASU School of Criminology and Criminal Justice as an adjunct faculty member in 2016.
