James Gallagher

Jim Gallagher is a 19 year veteran of a major city police department in Arizona and presently is a commander of the Strategic Information Bureau comprising the Records Management Unit, the Information Services Unit, the Crime Analysis and Research Unit and the Quality Assurance Unit.  Over the course of his career he has worked in patrol as an officer, sergeant and lieutenant, as a detective investigating criminal street gangs where he was certified as an expert witness, as a sergeant supervising a plain clothes crime suppression squad, the tactical support bureau and as an investigator in internal affairs and as a lieutenant supervising the only Vice unit in the state.  He has a BA in political science from Arizona State University, a Master of Administration - Leadership emphasis with distinction from Northern Arizona University and is a doctoral candidate in Organizational Leadership at Northeastern University (MA) in Boston.  He also earned a Certified Public Manager designation from Arizona State University and is a proud graduate of the FBI National Academy.
